Kurokawa onsen

Kurokawa onsen is a national famous hotspring village in Aso, Kumamoto. You can make a one day trip from Kumamoto city. The village consists of 28 Japanese style inns.There is a special ticket called "Onsen Tegata" made of wood at 1200yen. You can visit three inns in kurokawa onsen village and enjoy their various bathes with the ticket. If you don't like public bath, you can take a private bath called " Kashikiriburo" at some inns at extra cost.

This is one of my favorites. Outside bath(mixed) by a river at a Japanese style inn called Okunoyu.

After onsen, enjoy boiled eggs boiled with hotspring water:) It's only 100yen!!!

I also like a cave bath(mixed) at Shinmeikan.

Don't miss Tofu icecream at a restaurant in front of Kurokawa Infomation center;)

4th bus(Kujyu 5 goh) 14:30(Koutsu center)→16:47(Kurokawa onsen) 2000yen

The 3rd bus incudes a sightseeing tour with lunch at the crater of Mt. Aso.
